I know that most people seem to have had a good time at Eastercon, but I can't help noticing that my flist is littered with broken bodies. I think we should make a concerted effort to take better care of ourselves next year. There may even be a programme item in it. What do people think?
Obvious suggestions are:
Plan travel, work, panels and convention tasks as thoroughly as you can, to help minimise stress.
Avoid overcommittment. Lean on your friends, where necessary.
Schedule a bit of downtime to yourself every day.
Set a minimum amount of sleep on which you can function, and try to stick to it.
If you're so tired you can't speak, go to bed!
Try to eat as well as possible. Bring fruit, water and healthy snacks, and make sure to actually consume them.
Go outside for at least a few minutes every day.
I'm not daft enough to suggest not drinking, but do take care to avoid dehydration.
Take a day off work after the con.
tamaranth has suggested continuing some of the interactions begun at the con on-line, in an effort to avoid post-con slump. I like this idea - could we find a way to formalise it?
Got any more?

Alastair Reynolds - House of Suns
Ian R Macleod - Song of Time
I'm hoping to get through The Margarets, and possibly The Quiet War, before the Clarke Award ceremony. I'm seriously tempted not to bother with the Martin Martin thing, given that I still regret the waste of the time I spent reading The Red Men.
